Use this natural, wooden resource in sorting activities to pick up beads and other small objects and categorise them. Use them to encourage the development of fine motor skills, hand/eye co-ordination, dexterity, concentration and patience.

This fine motor resource can be added to a wide variety of play invitations and set ups to encourage children to manipulate various materials and medias. Children will need to operate the tweezers using their fine motor skills. Using this particular resource will help build their tripod grasp that they will go on to use when holding a pencil.

A tripod grasp is when the thumb, index finger and middle finger work together to pick up small objects.
